MY NAME IS NICK D’AGOSTINO AND I AM RUNNING FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER (Republican) ON JUNE 6TH!
For all 33 years of my life, I have called Sussex County home. Born, raised, and still residing in Wantage Township, I have cherished and lived by our values. I love the hard-working people of our community and chances are that you and I have crossed paths at some point. Overwhelmingly, the people of our County love their families, they love the peace and quiet, they love their principles, and they love the Lord. I am proud to say that I fit into that category. For generations, Sussex County has been the bedrock of conservatism in New Jersey, and I am running to make sure it stays that way.
Recently, radical leftists have made themselves known here. They yell and protest, they infiltrate local school board meetings, and they flood social media with hate and lies- all to push their sick and evil agenda on our residents, both young and old. They host drag queen shows in our local businesses, they have fundraisers to promote Planned Parenthood and celebrate abortion, and they do whatever they can to disrupt our way of life and make us feel uncomfortable. They attempt to ruin the lives of anyone who disagrees with them. There is no interest in a fair fight. At 18 months old, I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. At 6 years old, I stopped walking and was confined to a power wheelchair. At 8 years old, I overcame four back surgeries and survived a malicious staph infection. My spine is literally made of steel. Now 33 years old, my time on Earth has been anything but a fair fight. I have spent my entire life overcoming adversity, fighting against all odds, and beating them. Now, I am ready to fight for you and our children as your next Commissioner.
I believe in the Constitution. I support Free Speech and the Second Amendment. I am pro-life, as life begins at conception. I believe in personal freedom and have been vehemently against mask and vaccine mandates from day one. I have represented our Sussex County values at the state level, serving as your State Committeeman. During my time as President of my local Board of Education, I have worked to lower taxes and will work to do the same at the County level. I will do this by looking for efficiencies in the budget, by consolidating positions that need to be consolidated, and by supporting strategic new business, whose ratables will ease the burden on our taxpayers. I will make sure that County administrators are doing their fair share of work, while making sure that our County employees are getting their fair share of pay. I will support all of our First Responders and work alongside them to ensure that they have the proper equipment and resources to keep us all safe.
Leadership is a lot like marriage- it requires truth, courage, commitment, and sacrifice. It is ordained by God, not the government. My wife, Breelagh, has been my partner in all things and has made all things possible. In college, I learned how to rally a group of people around a cause. As a motivational speaker, I gained ultimate confidence in my ability to effectively communicate a message. I have spent my entire adult life in public service, leading my community. My time as an elected official has been the most rewarding experience. I have found no greater passion and no greater purpose. With Breelagh’s love and your support, I am ready to be your voice and lead in Newton. At work, at school, in relationships, and in other areas of our lives, it is important to compromise. When it comes to preserving our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness… I will never compromise! Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Nick D’Agostino
